The Missouri couple has organized a series of “Marriage Equality Bus” trips from St. Louis to Iowa, enabling about 100 same-sex couples, including themselves, to legally marry. Sadly, although they had been a couple for six years prior to the wedding, they were pressured by family to break up the day after the ceremony, according to press reports. Sharma wore a gown, but is not said to identify as transgender. All press reports describe them as a same-sex couple.
