NotesIn 2002, Daniel Gross and Stephen Goldstein became the first same-sex couple to ever have their wedding announced in the New York Times.
They had a religious ceremony in Montreal on Aug. 31 and a civil union ceremony at Hero Island, Vermont on Sept. 1. In this video, shot earlier this year, they reflect back on their wedding.
